The preschool program provides specific learning goals focused on helping children build self-esteem, creativity, and social skills necessary for future kindergarten success.
In order for children to be well prepared for school, they need to establish an understanding of basic concepts and facts, as well as develop skills necessary for physical growth, reading, math, science, social studies, and other areas of learning.
Preschoolers demonstrate an emerging love of reading and
writing, and they use their growing literacy skills during read-alouds, shared reading, reading groups, and writing centers.
Students are encouraged to act out stories from group reading sessions in the dramatic play center.
The physical space of the classroom is organized into learning centers, including blocks, dramatic play, fine motor, art, books, math, and science in order to provide active learning experiences for children.
Within the preschool classroom’s daily schedule each child has time to work in a small group, large group, and individually.
Our low teacher-to-child ratio allows teachers to focus on the individual learning goals of each child. Every day each child has individual study time with a fully degreed and certified teacher.
Lesson plans are prepared based on observations and assessments of the children by teachers and the Director. Age-appropriate learning activities are provided each day, which promote and encourage a child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Every day, My Country Clubhouse provides each child healthy and kid-friendly snacks and lunch. Breakfast is also available every morning from 7:00 am - 8:30 am.
We encourage children to taste new foods, but we will never force a child to taste or eat food.
We serve in-season fruits and vegetables on a daily basis.
As an allergy-friendly school, we do not serve or allow any nut-based products on our campus.
“Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.”
